Honey Chicken Kebabs

These kebabs are great for summer grilling and cookouts.  The marinade is full of flavor and creates the most tender meat. =)  I make these every year for my husband’s birthday cookout!  They have become a family favorite!

Ingredients
  1. 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  2. 1/3 cup soy sauce
  3. 1/3 cup honey
  4. 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
  5. 4-6 oz chicken breasts
  6. 4-6 oz sirloin fillets
  7. 2 garlic cloves
  8. 5 small onions, cut into 2 inch pieces
  9. 2 inch bell peppers, cut into 2 inch pieces
  10. 2 zucchini, sliced 1/2 inch thick
  11. 2 squash, sliced 1/2 inch thick

Instructions
  1. 1. In a large bowl, whisk together oil, honey, soy sauce, and pepper. Before adding chicken, reserve a small amount of marinade to brush onto kabobs while cooking. Place the chicken, garlic, onions and peppers in the bowl, and marinate in the refrigerator at least 2 hours (the longer the better).
  2. 2. Preheat the grill for high heat.
  3. 3. Drain marinade from the chicken and vegetables, and discard marinade. Thread chicken and vegetables alternately onto the skewers.
  4. 4. Lightly oil the grill grate. Place the skewers on the grill. Cook for 12 to 15 minutes, until chicken juices run clear. Turn and brush with reserved marinade frequently.
  5. 5. Plate and enjoy!
  6. Bon appetit!
